Devon Long House
We live in a 500 year-old traditional Devon long house in the village of Ashford, near Barnstaple. It has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom, two reception rooms and a large kitchen. We have a spacious south facing garden and parking for 2 cars. The house used to be the village post office and there is still a red postbox in our garden wall.
There is also a beautiful church and some lovely country walks on the door-step.
About the location
Ashford is 2 miles from the town of Barnstaple. We are only 20 minutes from the North Devon coast and some of the best beaches in the UK. Saunton, Croyde, Putsborough and Woolacombe beaches are stunning with sand dunes and good for body boarding, surfing & swimming. Inland, Exmoor National Park is 30 minutes away.
